Hey there, my name is Christy, a Latina hailing from the Bronx with a proud Ecuadorian background, currently residing in vibrant New York City. Cybersecurity and technology have always fueled my passion, and I'm determined to make a mark in the future of the tech industry.  Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information and over 16 years of experience as a Network/Systems engineer and currently as a IT Service Manager, I thrive on embracing fresh challenges for personal and professional growth.

 

My latest endeavor is breaking barriers in the cybersecurity realm, delving into its intricacies, discovering my niche, and striving to make a meaningful impact. To fuel this passion, I’ve completed a rigorous 9-month cybersecurity boot camp at NYU, a journey that encouraged me to pursue a Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at WGU.  Along the way, I've acquired certifications like CompTIA's Security+, CySA+, Pentest+, and the ISC2 CC . As I navigate through the vast landscape of cybersecurity, I'm exploring my passions and persistently defining where my primary interests lie within the field.

 

When I'm not immersed in technology, you'll find me unwinding with activities like reading, gaming, or enjoying the outdoors with my two furry companions, Romeo the Yorkie and Zeus the Mini Golden Doodle, alongside cherished moments with family and friends.

 

As a female Latina in the tech sphere, I've firsthand experience of the hurdles we face in shattering stereotypes and overcoming obstacles. Yet, I view these challenges as opportunities to pave the way for others like me, aiming to inspire fellow Latinas and leave an indelible mark on the tech landscape within Cyber.

 

I'm eager to broaden my network, connect with like-minded individuals, and collectively shape the future of technology.
